Notification Letters


The following notification letters were issued to generate input and comments on proposed rule changes. Letters are not generated for all rule changes. See "Washington State Register" for all rule changes that are currently under review and those that have been adopted by the Gambling Commission.


  • The Electronic Raffle Systems pilot project rule is being held over to allow staff additional research time. It will be Up for Filing at the April 2015 Commission Meeting.

    Pilot program to test electronic raffle systems to conduct 50/50 raffles.

  • Increasing the threshold for recording winner identification information from more than $20 to more than $50 and increasing the threshold for retaining tickets from over $20 to over $50.

  • Allowing "envy" and "share the wealth" "bonus features" to be connected between different card games and different tables, within a house-banked card room.

  • Increasing the amount of payout in chips or cash for player-supported jackpot prizes from $2,500 to $5,000.

  • Allowing charitable and nonprofit organizations to sell raffle tickets that are not consecutively numbered for raffles that take place during the same event at the same location.
