David Trujillo – INTERIM DIRECTOR
Effective February 28, 2013, David Trujillo was appointed interim director by the Washington State Gambling Commission to temporarily fill the director post which was recently vacated. Prior to this appointment, he was the agency’s Deputy Director and has served in various positions throughout the agency. David is a recipient of the WA State Leadership Award given to him by then Secretary of State Sam Reed.
In addition to his twenty plus years with the agency, David has two undergraduate degrees, certifications from the WA Criminal Justice Training Commission, and a license (#20510) from the WA State Board of Accountancy. He is a Military Emergency Management Specialist and officer candidate in the Washington State Guard. Recently, he received designation as a Chartered Global Management Accountant and completed the FBI’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Association leadership series. He is a committee member and past chair of the WA Society of CPA’s ethics committee, and serves on the local chapter board of directors and state board of directors. David is a Commissioner with St. Michael Parish School and a member on the Saint Martin’s University Accounting Advisory Committee.
David lives in Thurston County with his family.
